Out of Washington state teams are required to obtain appropriate travel papers from state or provincial association.
PLEASE NOTE: All players are required to be in concussion compliance per Washington State Law. If you are an Washington team, your final roster must reflect concussion compliance. If your squad is from outside of Washington, you must have a signed copy of the Concussion Compliance Informed Consent form for each player available for review at check-in. Please select from the list below for Concussion Compliance Informed Consent form.
A completed on-line application form along with the entry fee and tentative team roster must be completed no later than June 6. We will continue to accept applications after the deadline date if there is space available, otherwise your check will be returned and you will be placed on a waiting list.
Team Selection: The Baker Blast is a select/premier level tournament accepting teams on a “first completed registration, first serve” basis. Please be advised that certain divisions may fill up prior to the deadline date. You are not considered registered until your online registration is complete and payment is received at the tournament office or payment via credit card online.
Format: Teams will play in a four team matrix whenever possible and be guaranteed at least three games. U10 and U11 will play 50 minute matches and U12-19 will play 60 minute matches. U10 will play 7 v 7 on a 30 yd x 50 yd field. U 11 & U12 teams will play 9 a-side on a 50 yd x 90 yd field. U13-19 will play 11 a-side on full size fields. Where applicable we will attempt to have two divisions PREMIER (upper level) and COPA (lower level) to provide appropriate levels of competition. The U18/19 will be a combined age group. We reserve the right to combine or modify age divisions should the need arise to balance competition.

Awards: 1st and 2nd place winners in each division will receive individual awards and one team award. All rostered players and coaches will receive tournament memento.
Entry Fee: U10 – U12 $500.00 per squad, U13-19 $550.00 Checks or money orders should be made payable to “WSR” (Whatcom Sports & Recreation). You may also choose to pay online with a credit card. Entry fee acceptance made after June 9, 2017 will be on a as team need basis. Applications will not be accepted without fees.
Acceptance: You will receive an e-mail notice of your squads acceptance.
Schedules: We anticipate schedules to be mailed out to you no later than June 16, 2017. We will attempt to accommodate all requests for late games on Friday. However, this is not always possible. Please be prepared to play an early game on Friday as early as 2:40 PM. All teams will be scheduled to play one game on friday and two games on Saturday. NO EXCEPTIONS. Semifinal and finals will be played on Sunday.
Withdrawing from the Tournament: After June 9, 2017 , teams wishing to withdraw from the tournament must notify us in writing. There will be no refunds issued for teams withdrawing after June 9. Prior to June 9, teams wishing to withdraw must notify us in writing; refunds will be issued less a $35.00 handling fee.
